Take a ride along the Elbe Trail in the Ústí nad Labem region for more than 90 km, which will take you from historical monuments and castles to the unique natural scenery of the deep river valley Porta Bohemica.
On the 30 km long route between Štětí and Litoměřice, cyclists can choose between sections on trails and roads with the option of both banks of the Elbe in the vicinity of Roudnice. The route is lined with historical gems such as Roudnice Castle, the fortress Terezín or the nearby Říp Mountain with the St. George Rotunda.
This 25 km long route leads almost exclusively on cycle paths through the unique Porta Bohemica valley and offers a visit to the Žernosky wine-growing region or Střekov Castle. Directly in Litoměřice you will find the Kalich lookout, St. Stephen's Cathedral or the castle's exhibition on winemaking.
Between Ústí nad Labem and Děčín, you will ride 25 km along the cycle path past the Velké Březno Castle, the Zubrnice open-air museum and the Vrabinec Castle. The road in Ústí is lined with the Větruše Castle and the local zoo.
The last 15km section of the Elbe Trail leads from Děčín through the breathtaking Elbe Canyon, where you can visit the castle, via ferrata or the zoo on the Shepherd's Wall. The trail continues to Dolní Žleb, from where you can easily reach the heart of the Bohemian Switzerland National Park by ferry via Hřensko.
