About the cycle path

The Labská cesta is one of the most famous long-distance cycling routes in Europe. In the Czech Republic it measures approximately 370 km, it passes through four regions (Královéhradecky, Pardubice, Central Bohemia and Ustecký) and along its entire length it is It is marked as cycle route No 2.

In the Ustecký Region the Elbe Trail measures more than 90 km and runs along the Elbe River through the towns of Stětí, Roudnice nad Labem, Litoměřice, Ústí nad Labem and Děčín. The route is suitable for relaxed cycling and thanks to frequent stops, it can easily be divided into shorter daily sections.

During the tour, cyclists can visit a number of well-known sites and monuments. In Roudnice nad Labem the Lobkowicz Castle is worth a visit. Nearby is Terezín, world famous for its history. Litoměřice attracts the historical centre with a town conservation area and a pleasant atmosphere. In Ústí nad Labem, the distinctive landmark above the river Střekov Castle. In Děčín visitors will be attracted by the Děčín Castle.

A unique experience is the passage through the Porta Bohemica valley, where the Elbe River has created an unusual landscape with a deep incision of the river valley into the Czech Central Highlands. This section is one of the most impressive parts of the whole trail and offers an exceptional connection between the river and the surrounding nature.

From the Ústí nad Labem region, the Elbe Trail continues on to Germany, where it is known as the Elberadweg.
