The ZOO is situated in the Krásná Březno district on the slope of the Mariánská Rock in an unconventional hilly terrain. Visitors can see over 1,300 animals representing more than 200 species. Ústí Zoo also participates in the worldwide rescue of rare and endangered species. Within the framework of many international rescue programmes, it has managed to breed a number of rare animal species. There are many animal pavilions in the zoo, children are entertained by animal models and slides in the "Children's World", a contact point with domestic animal species "Children's Zoo" and the "Dinosaur Nature Trail".
