A cycling trip along the Ústí nad Labem–Děčín route—by boat there and by bike back

1557
Start: Ústí nad Labem26 km

The Ústí nad Labem Region Transport ferry line No. 92 departs from the Ústí nad Labem-centrum station at 9:30 a.m. and arrives in Děčín in just under two hours. If you’d like to spend some time in Děčín, be sure to visit the lookout point on Pastýřská Stěna, and you can also check out the nearby Děčín Zoo or the local castle. The local Information Center will be happy to recommend other places to visit in Děčín. And what about your bike? At Pastýřská stěna and also at the information center, you can use the bike lockers to store your bike and set off to explore Děčín at your leisure. It’s absolutely amazing...

️On the way back, a leisurely 25 km ride along the Elbe Cycle Route awaits you. If you want to stop at an interesting spot along the way, be sure to choose Velké Březno. Here you can visit the castle with its beautiful garden.

This trip is only possible during the months when the ferry service is operating (i.e., usually March, April, May, part of June, and part of September, October, and part of November). More info on the ferry service.

Route: Ústí nad Labem – Děčín (by boat) – Těchlovice – Velké Březno – Ústí nad Labem.

Length of the bike trip: 26 km

Ascent: 34 m; Descent: 18 m

Is this trip too short for you, but are you still tempted by the combination of a boat ride and a bike ride? If so, you can take the same boat line all the way to Dolní Žleb and extend your trip with the Dolní Žleb–Děčín route. This will add about 10 km to your trip.
