Explore the interesting sights of the Gardens of Bohemia and the Podřipsko region by bike. Take a trip along the Elbe Cycle Route from Litoměřice to Roudnice nad Labem. In Roudnice, you can visit, for example, Lobkowicz Castle or the Hláska Tower. In the meantime, you can store your bike at the Podřipsko Information and Transportation Center, where they’ll also give you tips on where to go. You can grab a bite to eat at the Castle Restaurant on Karlovo Square.

The starting point is the town of Litoměřice, and the route first leads to Terezín, where there is an interesting fortress museum that also offers tours of the underground tunnels. Continue along the Elbe River on the alternative route of the Elbe Cycle Route 2A to Roudnice nad Labem, where you’ll surely be captivated by the Lobkowicz Castle with its Romanesque fortress. Among other things, excellent Roudnice wine is produced here. For the return trip to Litoměřice, take the main route of the Elbe Cycle Route along the right bank of the Elbe. Along the way, you can stop at one of the popular cycling cafes, such as U Sumce, Cyklobar U Trumpetky, or Wake & Fun. Once you arrive back in Litoměřice, you can park your bikes at the Cyklověž bike rack near the bus station and head, for example, to the Kalich lookout point or to Dómské Square with St. Stephen’s Cathedral. Don’t forget to visit the U Sv. Štěpána Bishop’s Brewery and sample the excellent local beer, which is also one of the regional products of the Czech Central Mountains. If you’ve enjoyed your time in the Garden of Bohemia or lingered a bit longer at the brewery, you can take advantage of the services at the U Sv. Štěpána Hostel, which is located in the same building as the brewery and offers very affordable accommodations.

You can start in the town of Litoměřice, but the route can also be completed from Roudnice nad Labem. For most of the way, the route follows a bike path. In some places, it also uses side roads.
