Take the alternative route of the Elbe Trail 2A to the fortress town Terezín. The trip is less than 40 km long and can be done even by older children.

The bike tour starts in Roudnice nad Labem, where you take the 2A bike route at the crossroads under the bridge. It will lead you through Židovice, Hrobce and Libotenice to Terezín. The route is initially in cycle path mode and later on roads.

A short section between Libotenice and Nučničky (about 3 km) runs on a more frequented road, Otherwise, the route is relatively safe and suitable for older children.

In Terezin visit the local Information Centre, from where it is possible to go to Museum of Terezín or a tour of the underground corridors. Current information on the tours can be found at www.terezin.cz.

On the way back, use the Nučničky ferry to take a ride to the left bank of the Elbe to Nučnice. From there, the main route of the Elbe Trail will lead you back to Roudnice nad Labem. On the way you can refresh yourself in the famous Bistro U Trumpetky.
